Where can you see me?
Mobile PT does not just have to be in the home. I can see you in your office, gym, local park, or wherever you would like to receive treatment. As long as you are within the service area, I can arrange to meet wherever it is convenient for you.
How is this different than an in clinic experience?
If you have ever been to a traditional PT clinic, your experience may have looked something like this: 10 minutes on heat, a little massage or manual treatment, off to do exercises (often with minimal supervision), ice/stim to finish. Much of your time is spent on PASSIVE treatment, and usually not one on one with your physical therapist. In fact, due to poor insurance reimbursement, most in person clinics schedule 2-4 patients an hour. re+ACTIVE is all about hands on ACTIVE care from a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Every minute of your treatment is spent on skilled service from a DPT. This ensures you get the most out of every visit.
Another advantage to in home or office treatment is that we can work in an environment in which you access every day. This allows your treatment not only to be functional, but functional in an applicable way. Need to learn how to walk up and down the stairs after surgery? Let's practice on yours!
I just had surgery. Would I be a good candidate for in home PT?
Absolutely! In fact, this is a great option for post operative rehab for individuals who still don't feel safe to drive or may have a hard time getting into a clinic. Early post op treatment does not require a whole lot of complicated gym equipment and I can bring everything I need to ensure your recovery is on track. Plus, with one on one care, you are sure to get the most out of every visit.
Will I need to provide any special equipment?
I can fit everything needed to treat your condition in the trunk of my car! You will only need a quiet space with room for a treatment table and a small area to exercise. Often I can use areas of your own home , like a kitchen counter, stairs, driveway, and even a pool.
Do you accept my insurance?
re+ACTIVE is only accepting Medicare Part B and Tricare East at this time. I choose to be out of network with other insurance companies so that I can provide our patients with the level of care they deserve. Being out of network allows me to treat the way I feel necessary and without some of the restrictions imposed by insurance
Will my insurance re-imburse me for any of the cost of treatment?
If you do have insurance, I can provide you with a superbill including the billing and diagnosis codes that can be submitted to your insurance for out of network reimbursement. The amount of reimbursement will vary with different carriers.
